Cancellations, Exchange & Return Policy

At Tribal Roots , each product tells a story—handcrafted with care by indigenous artisans or naturally sourced from India’s tribal heartlands. To honour the integrity of these creations and uphold fairness to both our customers and our communities, we’ve designed a clear and responsible policy:

1. Cancellations
Once an order is confirmed and processed, we are unable to accept cancellations. However, if you need to cancel your order, please notify us within 12 hours of placing the order by emailing us at tribe@tribalrootsindia.com with the subject line “Order Cancellation.” After this window, the order will be processed and dispatched.

2. Return Policy

We follow a strict no-return policy on all food and consumable items, including:

- Raw honey
- Spices and herbs
- Grains, seeds, and flours
- Pickles & Sweet Treats

Returns will not be accepted for reasons related to personal taste, natural variation, or appearance, as these vary with seasonality and origin.

3. Exchange Policy
While we do not accept returns, we do facilitate exchanges in specific cases:

Eligible for Exchange:
- If your **handcrafted item** (such as jewelry, shawls, stoles, or home décor) arrives **damaged or defective**, you may request an exchange within **48 hours of delivery**.

**To request an exchange:**

- Mention your **order number**, include a **description of the issue**, and attach **clear images** of the damaged item and packaging

**Exchange Conditions:**
- Items must be **unused**, in their **original packaging**, with all tags intact
- Our team will review your request and guide you through the process upon approval

#### **4. Damaged or Incorrect Orders**
In the rare event that your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item:

**Please notify us within 48 hours** with:
- Your **order ID**
- **Photos** of the item and packaging
- A **brief description** of the issue

We will offer:
- A **free exchange**
- Or a **full refund** if the product is unavailable

#### **5. Refund Policy**
Refunds will only be processed under the following conditions:
- The ordered item is **out of stock** and cannot be replaced
- You received a **damaged or incorrect product** and opted for a refund instead of an exchange
- You cancelled your order within the allowed **2-hour window**

**Refund Timeline:**
- Once approved, refunds are processed within **5–7 working days**
- The amount will be credited to the **original payment method**
- We will notify you by email once the refund has been initiated

**Note:** We do not offer refunds for:
- Products that are delivered intact
- Dissatisfaction with natural taste, smell, or visual variation
